Impartiality Policy

Impartiality is the cornerstone of  our certification activities. HCE management is committed to ensuring impartiality throughout our certification activities. Our systems, procedures and structure are founded on minimising and eliminating risks to impartiality or conflicts of interest. Quality Policy

HCE aims to be a leading provider of Halal certification services by striving to exceed our clients and stakeholders requirements and expectations. Services will be provided in a manner necessary to preserve objectivity, fairness, impartiality and confidentiality.

Our commitment to quality includes:

  1. Complying with international standards and Halal accreditations
    HCE operates a quality management system built on processes that meet the requirements of international standards including ISO 17065:2012, GSO 2055-2, JAKIM (Malaysia), BPJPH (Indonesia) laws e.g. Law No 20 year 2023, and MUIS (Singapore), OIC/SMIIC (Turkiye).
  2. Client oriented approach
    We are committed to providing an efficient and pragmatic service with personalised customer service. We actively seek client feedback and, where possible, use this to identify potential improvements in our process. A key quality objective is the satisfaction of our stakeholders.
  3. Involve all relevant parties in maintaining quality
    We recognise that the contribution of each and every individual at HCE is necessary to achieving our quality goals. As such we are actively committed to provide further training, where required, thereby fostering the competencies needed to provide a sustained high level of service.
  4. Continuous improvement of Quality Management System
    HCEs Quality Management System is continually reviewed, and where possible, improved by the Senior Management Team to promote the achievement of our quality objectives.

 

We acknowledge improving and sustaining quality is a continuous process and we endeavour to ensure consistent and continued improvements to our quality so that our clients can receive the best quality.

 

Feedback, Complaints or Appeals

Our aim is to provide the best customer experience, with responsive helpful assistance throughout the certification process. However there may be occasions when a customer feels we can improve our services. For complaints or appeals, please use the complaints and appeals form which can be found here.

We take all complaints or appeals seriously and will handle them in a fair, transparent, and timely manner. Our an independent committee will investigate the issue thoroughly and provide you with updates on the progress and resolution of your complaint or appeal. There will not be any discriminatory action to the appellant or complainant.

 

Use of the Halal Logo

The HCE Halal logo can only be used by HCE Halal certified clients. For more details please contact us.

 

Halal Certification Schemes

HCE operates four certification schemes: Gulf region and NON-Gulf region, OIC/SMIIC Scheme and Indonesia (Law 20 of 2023) scheme. More details can be found here

The categories HCE certifies includes, food and beverages, chemicals, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

For Indonesia scheme all companies must implement the SJPH standard. For details on the standards for Indonesia scheme, please refer to Kep BPJPH No 20 Tahun 2023 ttg Kriteria SJPH, and SNI 99004:2021 General Requirements of Halal Food.

 

Suspension or withdrawal of certification

Certification may be suspended or withdrawn where an applicant fails to comply with the terms and conditions of certification, such as a failure to meet the requirements of the Halal standard.
