Impartiality Policy
Impartiality is the cornerstone of certification activities; as such impartiality in HCE’s certification activities is paramount. HCE management is committed to ensuring impartiality throughout its certification activities. HCE’s system, procedures and structure are founded on minimising and eliminating risks to impartiality or conflicts of interest. HCE is an independent legal entity, furthering HCE’s capability to be impartial through its uncomplicated structure.
As part of HCE’s on-going commitment to impartiality, top management has implemented several mechanisms to ensure and monitor the safeguarding of impartiality. The primary mechanism is top management’s appointment of an Impartiality Committee. The impartiality committee consists of members representing HCE’s key interests and is responsible for assessing and ensuring HCE’s impartiality and objectivity.
As part of HCE’s commitment to impartiality throughout its workings, the HCE Impartiality Procedure details the minutia of HCE impartiality. HCE Impartiality Risk Analysis offers a range of analysis throughout HCE’s workings. All HCE staff are aware of the criticality of impartiality and will inform HCE management if they feel any client or situation proffers a potential conflict of interest.
HCE will adhere to the requirements of Halal and deal with the highest degree of responsibility, integrity and neutrality when applying the requirements related to it.
